Paddington Station Facilities
Getting a taxi
You’ll find a recently enlarged taxi rank alongside Platform 1, with Heathrow Express taxi marshalls on hand to speed up loading your luggage.
To reduce waiting times for everyone, we operate a taxi sharing scheme at Paddington station between 0830 and 1030 Monday to Friday (peak hours). Fares are fixed in advance by zone and are usually cheaper than if you travel alone - based on four people sharing (tips are included in the fare).
Find out more about our taxi share scheme.
To locate the taxi rank, check out this map of the station.
Finding a trolley
There are trolleys available from several points at Paddington, including Heathrow Express platforms 6 & 7. You will need a £1 coin as a deposit, which you get back when you return the trolley to any trolley point.
A porter service is also available at Paddington.
Why not relax and refresh at Paddington before your journey begins? You’ll find a number of bars, cafes and food outlets across the station.
Other facilities include:
- a medicentre
- cash dispensers
- a pharmacy
- news stands
- a bookshop
- a florist
There are bike racks on platforms 8, 9, 10 and 11. Remember, if you leave your bike unattended in any other area, it will be removed for security reasons.
Left Luggage is a secure place where you can leave items of luggage for collection later. The office is on platform 12, where all items are scanned before being deposited for you. For more information, please call 020 7262 0344 or visit www.excess-baggage.com
Toilets, showers and baby changing
Head for platform 1 where you will find toilets and showers, plus disabled and baby changing facilities at the first aid point.
Contacting British Transport Police
British Transport Police officers are on duty at the station at all times. If their office on platform 1 is unattended, use the telephone at the front to talk directly to British Transport Police control.
