Heathrow Express Fares Update

01 January 2022: Heathrow Express has consistently received the top customer satisfaction ratings for the past decade, with its NRPS scores always being in the Top 2 across all Train Operating companies and the highest for any rail air service in Britain. With a new fleet, the highest luggage space for any mode of public transport at Heathrow, comfortable seating and space for travellers to relax in a tranquil environment, Heathrow Express will be making fares even simpler by having the same price for all flexible fares across both the digital and at station physical channels. This means the flexible Return fare will continue to remain frozen at £37 since 2017 whereas the flexible Single fare will now be £25 across all channels instead of costing £25 offline and £22 online. Great value fixed single fares will still remain unchanged and start at £5.50 when purchased in advance. Children will still continue to go for free when accompanied by an adult.

Is that a panto on a train? Oh no it isn’t, oh yes it is!

Tue 10 Dec 2019

Travellers were caught by surprise this morning when they were invited to enjoy an impromptu pantomime performance on a train between London Paddington and Heathrow Airport.

Rather than treading the boards, Prince Charming could be seen riding the rails and running the aisles of a Heathrow Express carriage in search of travellers to try on the famous glass slipper.

Meanwhile, Cinderella was busy avoiding the ugly sisters and desperately trying to get her ticket to the ball stamped by the on board team.

The performance was held by the Natural Theatre Company, and had been specially scripted to last just 15 minutes - the duration of the Heathrow Express journey between London Paddington Station and Heathrow Terminals 2&3.

Customers were quick to join in with the traditional festive panto, sparking shouts of 'He's behind you' and 'Oh no it isn’t, oh yes it is!'.

Les Freer, Heathrow Express Director said: "Christmas is fast approaching so we’re well into panto season and we wanted to share some of that festive cheer on board with the Panto Express.

“Cinderella is a family favourite but this is probably the first time it’s been performed at 100 miles per hour on a train in just 15 minutes!"
