- The iconic pizza brand and much-loved airport rail passenger service launch world’s first moving pizzeria
Sun-seekers should add one more 'essential' to their holiday list, as Heathrow Express and PizzaExpress have joined forces to transform a train carriage into the world's first moving pizzeria, for holidaymakers setting off from London Paddington to Heathrow airport, from today (1st April 2024).
With recent data revealing pizza as the UK's favourite family meal*, and Easter holidays set to be the first real travelling occasion for families this year**, the new PizzaExpress service, powered by Heathrow Express, will launch on Monday 1st April, with holidaymakers welcomed onboard to a selection of PizzaExpress' favourites, from the iconic 'American Hot' to fan favourite 'Padana'.
The travelling pizzeria, powered by Heathrow Express, will showcase PizzaExpress' iconic stripes and its famous Pizzaiolos flaring dough to create the perfect onboard pizza. What's more, each carriage table will display a 'push for more Dough Balls' button for that added Express service.
And if that wasn't enough, passengers travelling from the 1st April will be able to enjoy PizzaExpress' brand new 'Pesce D’Aprile' pizza - a delicious new introduction to the menu, available exclusively to Heathrow Express travellers, and served in style during the speedy 15 minute journey - the fastest way to travel between London Paddington and Heathrow Airport.
Customers will be asked to leave their bags in the large racks, relax in the carriage's comfortable, spacious seats, and sit back at the custom-made marble tables, replicating the brands famous interior aesthetic, while they enjoy their PizzaExpress favourites, all freshly prepared with the highest quality of ingredients.

With a PizzaExpress pizzeria directly outside London Paddington station, customers now have flexibility to enjoy their favourite pizza before, or onboard the travelling pizzeria. With departures every 15 minutes, Heathrow Express is the easiest and now most delicious way to travel between London Paddington and Heathrow Airport terminals. Early Bird tickets are available from just £15 and kids 15 and under travel free.
