Terminal 2

Terminal 2, affectionately known as "The Queens Terminal" is located east of Heathrow's central area, it's connected to Terminal 3 by an underground walkway and both terminals share a rail station.

Terminal 3 is located in the centre of Heathrow and shares many amenities like a rail station and car parking with Terminal 2.

Terminal 4 is located on the South side of Heathrow near the airport's cargo terminal. It's accessible from Terminal 2 & 3's rail station via a free shuttle bus.

Where are Heathrow’s terminals?

London Heathrow is the largest airport in the UK and the second busiest in the world.

It has four terminals: Terminal 2, Terminal 3, Terminal 4 and Terminal 5.

Terminal 3 is located towards the centre of the airport, with Terminal 2 to the east and Terminal 5 to the west. Terminal 4 is found towards the south of the airport.

Terminals 2 and 3 are close to each other and are linked by a pedestrian passage you can walk on foot. It should take you around 10 minutes to walk between the terminals. You’ll also find Heathrow Central train station in walking distance from Terminals 2 and 3.

Terminals 4 and 5 are located further away from the more central hub of the airport. You’ll need to hop on a shuttle bus to get from Heathrow Central to Terminal 4, whilst Terminal 5 has its own train station.

Where does the Heathrow Express stop?

Heathrow Express serves all the airport’s main terminals. We travel to and from both Heathrow Central and Terminal 5 stations, the two train stations at Heathrow.

Heathrow Central connects you to Terminals 2, 3 and 4, while Terminal 5 station serves Terminal 5. You can even jump on the Heathrow Express for free connections between terminals, travelling from Heathrow Central to Terminal 5 and vice versa.

Heathrow Terminal 2 Information

Heathrow Express Trains to Terminal 2

Heathrow Central train station is located between Terminal 2 and Terminal 3.

After arriving at the train station, exit the station and follow the signs to the terminal. It’s a well-signposted route that will take you to the terminal via an underground walkway. It should take you between 10 and 15 minutes to arrive at Terminal 2. When you arrive at the terminal, get the lift up to Level 5 for check-in. On your way to check-in, there is a variety of food and drinks available at stores and restaurants located near all the main entrances and exits.

Terminal 2 Shops, Lounges & Restaurants

We recommend the luxurious Flying Chariot. Located on level 5 and set over two floors, this restaurant and bar takes inspiration from Heathrow's history and includes an observation 'control tower' with some stunning views of the surrounding landscape. If you'd rather take a minute to put your feet up, try the Heathrow Terminal 2 lounges.

Heathrow Terminal 3 Information

If you're arriving at Heathrow Terminal 3, make planning your journey that much easier with our interactive map. Zoom in or out to change the level of detail and click the icons for more information. Heathrow Express Train to Terminal 3

If you’re flying from Terminal 3, you’ll depart the Heathrow Express at Heathrow Central train station. Exit the station and follow the signs to Terminal 3 – it’s a well signposted route. You’ll head through the inter-terminal walkway, with the journey taking around five minutes once you leave the train station. When you arrive at Terminal 3, enter the main airport at ground level for check-in,then visit one of the many restaurants and bars and refuel for the journey ahead.

Terminal 3 Shops, Lounges & Restaurants

The shops at Heathrow Terminal 3 are perfect for a quick bite to eat, quiet coffee before your flight or fine dining experience. From Costa Coffee to Pilots Bar, and the French inspired premium restaurant, Oriel, which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, you'll be spoilt for choice before you've even taken your flight.

Getting to Terminal 4

If you’re flying from Terminal 4, you’ll need to depart the Heathrow Express at Heathrow Central and then hop on the free shuttle bus to terminal 4. It arrives every 10-15 minutes and takes around five minutes to journey to the terminal.

Terminal 4 Shops, Lounges & Restaurants

There are some excellent places to eat, relax and prepare for your journey in Heathrow Terminal 4. For locally sourced fresh food try The Prince of Wales, where the only focus is the food on your plate. Or, if a bespoke London bar is more to your liking, try having a drink at The Commission Bar, open from first flight to last. If some much needed rest is what you desire, try a Heathrow Terminal 4 lounge.

Heathrow Terminal 5 Information

For an easy and relaxing way to plan your journey, try out the interactive Heathrow Terminal 5 map. All you have to do is drag the interface to start exploring. Heathrow Express Train to Terminal 5

Welcome to Heathrow Terminal 5. The train station is located on the ground floor, and check-in is on Level 3. Follow the exit signs to leave the train station. You’ll then need to walk up the stairs, hop on the escalator or take the lift up to Level 3. Here you can check-in your bags and luggage, before relaxing in one of the many restaurants and bars.

The Terminal 5 Heathrow shops have something for everyone. Whether you're in need of that perfect gift from Harrods, a gastropub meal from the handsome Huxleys or some bespoke airline food from Gordon Ramsay's Plane Food, Heathrow T5 has you covered. If you want to just relax and get comfortable before your flight, try one of the Heathrow Terminal 5 lounges.

Like the other sections highlighted in this brief can we expland on this a bit. This one is more descriptive than the other sections but could we add a few more directions to the section.

Why isn’t Terminal 1 included?

Terminal 1 was closed in 2015 to make way for the expansion of Terminal 2. There’s no map available of Terminal 1 as it no longer exists at Heathrow Airport.
