London Paddington train station is our Heathrow Express home in central London. Our trains leave Paddington every 15 minutes and head direct and non-stop to Heathrow Central, with an extra stop at Terminal 5 station for anyone flying from Terminal 5. The journey from London Paddington on the Heathrow Express takes just 15 minutes.

This national transport hub in London connects the city to multiple destinations across the UK, and is the first port of call for holidaymakers on their journey to the airport on the Heathrow Express.

How to find the Heathrow Express in Paddington

When you first arrive at London Paddington, make your way to the main station concourse. Our Heathrow Express platforms are usually six and seven, so head through the ticket barriers with your ticket in hand. Make sure you check the boards at the station in case we’re running from a different platform.

Where is Paddington Station?

Paddington station is located in central London, in Kensington and close to Bayswater and Marylebone. It’s famous for being the train station that Paddington Bear arrived at when he first got to London, hence his name. You can even see a statue of the famous bear at the station.

Options to see a bit of London and find some things to do near Paddington station include strolling through Hyde Park, shopping in Bayswater and visiting Kensington Gardens. Buckingham Palace is just a short tube ride away.

Where can you get some food at Paddington Station?

If you’re hungry before you hop on the Heathrow Express, you’ll find a range of places to grab some food at London Paddington. Pop into Pret A Manger for a salad or a sandwich and a coffee before your train. Grab a whopper at Burger King before you board the Heathrow Express. Or enjoy one of the following fantastic food outlets: Black Sheep Coffee, Wagamama, Vagabond, Itsu, Beany Green, The Cheese Barge.

Fancy a drink before you hop on the Heathrow Express?

If you’re looking for a quick coffee to go or one to enjoy in at Paddington station, you can’t beat the likes of Pret A Manger or Black Sheep Coffee. And if you want to get into the holiday spirit before you get to the airport, then head to the Mad Bishop & Bear on the first floor of the station for a beer or a wine or the Beer House for a well-poured pint of your favourite tipple.

Make use of the station amenities

There are plenty of toilets throughout London Paddington that are free to use. You’ll also find accessible toilets on platforms 1 and 12. There are also a stoma-friendly toilet facilities and a Changing Places facility on Platform 12.

If you want to connect to the internet at Paddington, there’s free, fast and unlimited Wi-Fi throughout the station. There are ATMs near the Elizabeth Line entrance and close to the platform 12 entrance. You’ll also find a taxi rank on the first floor above platform 12. It’s well signposted and accessible by escalators and lifts.
