The journey between London Paddington and Heathrow Terminals 2 & 3 takes 15 minutes (allow a few minutes more for Terminal 4 or 5). 

What time is the first train from Paddington?

The first train departs Paddington at 05.10 Monday - Saturday, and at 06:10 on Sunday.

* From Monday to Thursday, Heathrow Express departs every 30 minutes after the 21:55 service. Services start at 22:25 until 23:25. This is due to Crossrail improvement work.

** First train departs 06:10 on Sunday, then every 15 minutes until 23:25. 

*** Please note, a change is required at Heathrow Terminals 2 & 3 to connect to the free Terminal 4 transfer service.

Trains usually depart from Platforms 6 and 7 at London Paddington.

  • If you’re going to Terminal 2 or Terminal 3, board any train and get off at Heathrow Terminal 2 and 3. Journey time is 15 minutes.

  • For Terminal 5, get on the London-Heathrow train at Paddington and stay on board at Heathrow Terminal 2 & 3 – all trains continue to Terminal 5, arriving 6 minutes later.

  • For Terminal 4, change at Heathrow Terminal 2 and 3 and catch the free transfer service. Trains are conveniently timed so they connect directly with the Heathrow Express arrival from London. There are four connecting trains per hour and travel time is 4 minutes.
