The Coventry to London Heathrow Airport route

It’s straightforward to travel from Coventry to Heathrow, with three stages to your journey.


The first is to hop on the train from Coventry to central London, with your train likely arriving into London Euston. You’ll then take the short trip from Euston to London Paddington, where you’ll jump on the Heathrow Express to travel direct to Heathrow Airport.

Coventry to London: Getting into the capital

The first stage of your journey is to take the train from Coventry to central London. During the week, there are trains leaving around every 10 minutes from Coventry, travelling direct to London Euston. The fastest option is the Avanti West Coast service – it takes less than an hour with two trains every hour from Coventry.


You can also jump on the more frequent West Midlands Trains services, but they have a journey time of around 1 hour 45 minutes.

Travelling from Euston to Paddington

The simplest and fastest way to get from Euston to Paddington station is to take the London Underground from Euston Square.


Leave Euston station and stroll a couple of minutes across the road to Euston Square. Here you can jump on either the Circle Line or Hammersmith & City Line westbound, direct to Paddington. It’s just four stops between the stations and should take you around eight minutes.

Boarding the Heathrow Express in Paddington

Having arrived at London Paddington on the tube, make your way up from the London Underground station to the main station concourse. Simply follow the signs up to the station and head up on the escalators or via the lift.


Once in the station concourse, check the boards for the right platform for the next Heathrow Express train – we leave Paddington every 15 minutes.


On most days, our trains run from platforms six and seven, so head through the ticket barriers with your Heathrow Express ticket in hand.

All aboard the Heathrow Express


The Heathrow Express is the fastest and simplest way to get from central London to Heathrow Airport. Simply hop on one of our trains at Paddington and you’ll be at the airport in just 15 minutes.


When you board the train and find your seat, settle into your comfy surroundings and enjoy the ample legroom. There’s plenty of space to store your luggage, so you won’t be cramped at all as we whisk you to Heathrow.


You can connect to our free Wi-Fi on board for any last-minute check-in requirements or simply to catch up with friends and family before your flight. If you’ve booked Business First Class, you get even more room and a dedicated table and power socket, ideal for catching up on any last-minute work. You also get free Fast Track through security at the airport too.

Arriving at Heathrow Airport


Once on the Heathrow Express, you’ll glide into Heathrow in just 15 minutes. Our first stop is Heathrow Central, then it’s an extra six-minute ride into Terminal 5 station.


Leave the train at Heathrow Central if you’re flying from Terminal 2, 3 or 4. For flights from Terminal 2 or 3, you can walk to your terminal using the inter-terminal walkway. Terminal 4 is just a short shuttle bus ride away – it only takes a few minutes, with buses leaving regularly.


If you’re flying from Terminal 5, stay on the Heathrow Express for an extra six minutes into Terminal 5 station.
