Portsmouth to London: Getting into the capital
The first leg of your journey is to take the train from Portsmouth & Southsea to central London.
There are around three services an hour into London Waterloo on South Western Railway, with a journey time of between 1 hour 38 minutes and 2 hours 4 minutes. Or you can jump on one of the two trains an hour on Southern into London Victoria, with a journey time of around 2 hours 10 minutes.

How to get from Waterloo or Victoria to Paddington
Depending on which service you choose, you’ll arrive into London at either Victoria or Waterloo.
The fastest and most efficient way to travel to London Paddington from either station is on the tube. From Waterloo take the Bakerloo Line northbound all the way to London Paddington. Paddington is nine stops from Waterloo, and the journey should take you around 14 minutes.
From Victoria, take the District or Circle Line westbound and it will take you direct to Paddington in just seven stops.

Find your seats with friends or family on the Heathrow Express
Once you arrive at London Paddington, make your way up from the tube to the main concourse – simply follow the signs up to the train station. When in the main concourse, head through the ticket barriers towards the platforms. Heathrow Express trains usually run from platforms six and seven.
Always check the boards when you first arrive at Paddington – although the Heathrow Express platforms are normally six and seven, sometimes it does change.
