The Euston to London Heathrow Airport Route

It’s simple to get from Euston to Heathrow, with two stages of your journey. First, you’ll travel from Euston to London Paddington. Then it’s a quick train ride on the Heathrow Express to Heathrow Airport.

How to get from London Euston to Paddington

You have a few different options to get from London Euston to London Paddington. You can take a cab from London Euston, with the journey to Paddington taking around 15 to 25 minutes depending on the traffic. If you have time, the 2.2-mile walk should take you around 45 minutes or you can jump on a bus – the number 30 towards Marble Arch is a popular route.

The simplest and one of the quickest routes is to make the short walk to Euston Square and take the Circle Line or Hammersmith & City Line, for three stops to London Paddington on the London Underground. Alternatively, you can take the Victoria Line direct from Euston to Oxford Circus, then change to the Bakerloo Line to Paddington.

Once you arrive at London Paddington, make your way to the main station concourse. Our Heathrow Express platforms are usually six and seven, so head through the ticket barriers with your ticket in hand. Always check the boards at the station in case we’re running from a different platform.

The Heathrow Express is the fastest train from London to Heathrow Airport. Simply hop on the Heathrow Express at platform six or seven, and you’ll be there in 15 minutes. Our trains run every 15 minutes, with no stops along the way.

There’s plenty of room for your luggage, free Wi-Fi and the choice of Standard Class or PREMIER+. Kids aged 15 and under travel for free too.

Arriving at Heathrow Airport

Heathrow Express trains take just 15 minutes to travel from London Paddington to Heathrow Central and an extra six minutes to arrive at Terminal 5 station.

Arriving at Terminals 2 & 3

If you’re flying from Terminal 2 or 3, leave the Heathrow Express at Heathrow Central. It’s then just a short walk to either terminal using the underground walkway.

Arriving at Terminal 4

Leave the Heathrow Express at Heathrow Central. You can take the Elizabeth Line for free from Heathrow Central to Terminal 4.

Arriving at Terminal 5

Stay on the Heathrow Express for another six minutes into Terminal 5 station. The station has direct access to both departures and arrivals in Terminal 5.
